Elspeth McKay, PhD, Fellow ACS is an assiduous researcher in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her interest to improve the human-dimension of HCI has led to work on cognitive performance measurement for assessing readiness for returning to study/retraining that breaks new ground. Her innovation with information communications technology (ICT) can also be seen in her readiness to invoke: learning analytics; ePedagogy strategies and touch screen technologies into her projects, promoting increased access to information through mobile ICT for members of the community currently experiencing access limitations. We met with Elspeth to discuss her views on learning analytics and where she thinks it is headed. Below is the interview.
