We will be presenting a series of seminars about learning analytics throughout the year. Our second seminar will be presented by Philip Finocchiaro. Philip is the National Alliances Manager at Dun and Bradstreet and specialises in analysing data to make meaningful business decisions. He develops analytics to understand business operations and uses this information to target marketing and coordinate business development. In this presentation Philip will discuss the role of analytics in university and business settings. He will cover the following areas:
• The role of learning analytics in making more students take courses
• Delivering return on investment to the university- where to find more prospective students
• Dealing with “big data” and other challenges
